It has a long 20-foot cord that wraps around the vacuum when not in use and provides good reach.  For additional reach, the Eureka 71B also has a deluxe hose that stretches to three times its length!

The end of the hose has a crevice too that makes it much easier to clean in tight places.

One thing that REALLY sets this handheld vacuum apart from others is that it has 2 motors.  One just to power the spinning head brushes and the other for suction.

The Riser Visor was uniquely designed by Eureka which is a clear plastic cover that stays down for cleaning horizontal surfaces and flips up so the revolving brush can reach the vertical carpet on stair risers.

There is no bag to change, just a filter and clear plastic dust cup to shake out when necessary.

The hose is very easy to use while sweeping.. it is conveniently located where you can just grab it, sweep what you need and snap back without having to twist it around or set it down.  Very quick and easy to do.

Overall, it does an EXCELLENT job of picking up pet hair, dirt and just about anything else you find on your furniture and stairs and upholstery. 

Is There ANYTHING BAD about the Eureka 71B Vacuum?

Actually, yes there is.  It is rather heavy for a small vacuum, I assume it’s due to the 2 motors where most have just the one.  If you use the vacuum for a while, especially sideways, it can wear your arm out.  But on the other hand, it doesn’t take the several sweeps to get things clean either, so that’s the advantage.
